Brand Repositioning Campaign for AXE

Turning cringe into confidence.

A campaign created to reconnect AXE with a new generation by embracing the awkward, unfiltered moments that define youth culture. Centered around AXE Travaganza: The Festival of Cringe, the campaign transforms embarrassment into celebration, proving that confidence isn't about being perfect, it's about owning who you are.

We build anticipation with cryptic announcements of surprise artists and a simple invitation: come in your cringiest outfit.

As the mystery grows, Axe billboards become the stage for a festival where the things we usually hide become the things that bring us together.

To build anticipation for the festival, we use advertising and merch as part of the launch, creating curiosity around the event before it happens. Then, the billboard itself becomes the festival stage, with the surrounding space transformed into a physical experience featuring merch, outfit customization, and spaces for self-expression.

The campaign moves from ads, to merch, to a real-world festival experience. Like a festival, Axe creates a physical world where the audience can dress up, participate, connect, and take home a piece of the experience.

Every element of the festival brings the concept to life. The merch is designed as a desirable piece of the experience, while the mysterious, slightly cringey staff bring the concept to life through their unexpected personalities and interactions.

From what people wear to the people they meet, every detail makes the festival feel like a world built around embracing your most cringe-worthy self.
