Awareness Campaign Competitor for Educo

Reframing education as a global exhibition of resilience.

A campaign concept created for Educo, transforming school backpacks into powerful symbols of resilience. The museum installation features backpacks representing countries where conflict has disrupted access to education, turning everyday objects into personal testimonies of learning, memory, and hope.

Art Director: Elizabeth Palma Preza

Each backpack becomes a personal portrait of a child affected by conflict. Inside and around it, visitors discover handwritten letters, drawings, school supplies, favorite subjects, personal objects, and the child’s national flag. Together, these elements reveal not just where the child comes from, but who they are, what they love to learn, and what they miss about school—turning every backpack into a unique story of resilience.

The exhibition takes visitors through the individual stories of children living in different conflict zones around the world. Each backpack reveals a different reality, with its own country, culture, school, favorite subject, drawings, and personal memories.

Although every child’s story is different, they all share the same experience: their education was interrupted, leaving them with the desire to keep learning.

We will promote the exhibition throughout the city with posters designed like invitations to a major historical exhibition. They will spark curiosity by presenting the stories as something worth discovering: a global exhibition of children’s interrupted education.

Visitors will enter expecting to learn about different places, people, and stories from around the world. As they move through the exhibition, they discover that these are not distant historical events, but the ongoing realities of children living in conflict zones today.

At the end, visitors are invited to donate to Educo, helping ensure that these children’s desire to learn does not remain interrupted.
